Quick question regarding an MOT...

Am I right in thinking the only time its legal to drive a car with no MOT is when you're taking it to the test centre?

I think you can also drive it to a garage if its booked in for work that is required to pass an mot too.

I think anyway, if you get pulled I dont think you can say some guy from the net told me will work.

You should be fine driving to the MOT test center without an MOT on your car.

yes i know you can definately drive to and from the test centre where it is booked in for an mot, as for driving to a garage for repairs for an mot... unsure

other than that, bat your eyelids... who needs an mot

As the man says, but the appointment must be prebooked. I also supsect that you must also meet certain minimum roadworthyness standards: appointment or not, I would imagine you would be in trouble if pulled over and your brakes didn't work.

I know you can drive the car to a garage for repairs even if the car fails the MOT it says it on the back of the Fail Certificate, obviously needs to be in a fairly good condition and to have failed on something minor.
