Hi,

I have one LAN cable going from the router up through the floor and into the computer room to the PC, fantastic.

Now i have got an XBOX360 and want to also connect it to the network via LAN (if possible).

Is there any method in which i can get some sort of splitter so i can connect both the PC and XBOX at the same time, but only one cable is actually connecting to the router ?

I got a spare LAN cable with the XBOX. Also i dont think its possible to route a new cable through the floor again.

Thanks in advanced, and happy christmas :)

Buy a network switch. Connect one port to the cable in the computer room, then you can connect the other devices to the switch.

Also, just a quick check, theres NO way i can do the same thing without having to use a power source ?.

actually, there is.
it's called a "Passive Hub"
(but everyone just buys a switch these days)

i.e
Belkin-R6G029-2-Port-Passive-Hub
(edit: link removed, oops :o )

So i can use this "Passive Hub" with both devices (PC and XBOX) running at the same time ?

If so then great.

P.s. i think you may want to remove the link, its a competitor.
