Quick question regarding monitor shutting of.f

Quick update again. Upping the fan speed to 100% doesnt seem to have worked. At one point during the game I checked the temp and it reached 97 celcius. Plus it has shut down on me again a few times.

With the fan at 100% should it be reaching these temps? Could it be a faulty fan?
 
Try reseating the gfx card's HS/fan with quality gunk - it may prove to be just a poor contact between the HS and the GPU.

Very simple to do but will void any warranty - (i do this when i get a new gfx card).
