Hey all just a quick question.

Im running to 80 gig satta2 WD in raid at the moment and wanted to know if i bung a 500 gig seasgate on another satta slot if its going to ruin the raid?

i dont want all 3 to run in raid just the two i allready have and the 500 gig just as a second drive for dumping.

As long as you don't disconnect your existing hard drives and forget which connection is which the extra drive should make absolutely no odds to the Raid array. Are you using a different controller on the motherboard for this new drive?

yea its a ds3 so thier is there gigabyte controller for raid and another one, i prosume i should use the other one?

use the other controller and you shouldnt have a problem
