I don't think it would be a problem, although if the MBPs are like my old G4-PB was its an absoloute ******* to open it! :D

Yeah, I've read that the SR MacBook Pros now have clips around the front which are hard to open.

Does anyone know weather it would be ok if I bought one of them HDD and took it to an Apple store with my MacBook Pro and got them to install it for me?

I doubt they would, but if they can do they charge? And will it still void my warranty.

There are people about who will fit new bits inside your machine for you, although yes they will charge, and they may also like you to buy the hardware from them (probably at inflated prices ;)) and I'd also be sure that it invalidates your warranty.

Some stores have apple certified technicians working for them - if they did it it shouldn't void your warranty I don't think.

If you're up for it there are a few guides around on the net showing how to do it.
