Does a SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache hardrive work ok on a 3Gb/s board?

As i orderd a Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache, but due to motherboard change(which i havn't got yet) i was just hoping it would work ?

Will work just fine on a 3GB/s controller. Been using one as backup drive for some months now without a problem. Faster than my Sammy F3 too.

I'm using a Sammy F3 for my games.
Just thought i'd get this for my OS. what software do you use to test the hardrive speed? or don't you bother.

I use CrystalDiskMark to bench HDDs. I think you'll be pleased with this drive. It's a bit noiser than the F3 but by no means a loud drive. The F3 is pretty hard to beat for acoustics.
