In real life terms:

Say I don't do encoding or converting or any of that malarky.

Just play games.

Would I notice much difference over an i3 versus an i5. If they had the same GPU same Mobo same everything?

I know i3 is 2 cores 4 threads
and i5 is 4 cores 4 threads.

So in games would the i5 perform "that" much better.

I could always upgrade to an i5 in future when they're cheap anyway.

Regards

keep the i3 if it's at 4ghz.

little beast in disguise.

some of the superPI results from these little cpus when overclocked are rather surprising, I remember seeing some impressive scores st Xtremesystems when they were released.

And adding a i5 will bump the price up to 780 quid

I don't know but there aren't many other PSU's that are cheaper than that sapphire has as good wattage and are modular.

That sapphire is priced very well IMO.

Also Silver Efficiency

Indeed that is a decent case, but I would want to add an intake fan, and doing so would make them come closer in price, I like the storm scout, unless you have any particular gripes with it that I should know about.

Was thinking of maybe the OCZ ModXStream 500W Modular PSU. Saves me a tenner.

Ideally I would want a zalman z7 but OcUK doesn't have them in stock :(.

nothing bad to say about the scout case, reviews of it haven't been negative, and a case is a personal choice, some people like the HAF for example, I don't, but it doesn't mean its a bad case.

antec300 case or zalman Z7?

as for the ocz, its not worth saving the few quid over the bequiet psu.
