So, I now have a headset courtesy of PCGamer (Sennhieser PC230) and was wondering is there a way to swap out my moniters for the headset without crawling under my desk and doing it? I want it so I can leave the Fostex plugged in and just switch between the headset and speakers on the fly so to speak.

Hmm, I know some sound cards, I believe Xonars which is why I mentioined them, have both 5.1 sound output as well as headphones jacks. So which means you plug your monitors sound cord into your soundcards green slot, and then plug your headphones into the headphones and mic jacks and then its just a simple case of switching between the 2 in the sound options in windows.

Just had a look in my manual and no I cannot do that :(

Best way is a switch box. A Splitter is another option, but that is frowned upon by many, due to altering impedance of speaker and headphone. Some people make their own, as switch boxes are few and far between, decent ones at least. If you are not a DIY guy, Plantronics make one, but it does look cheap, with piddly cables. It would be fine with cheap speakers, but I wouldn't want to use one with quality speakers.
