I am in the midst of rearranging and setting up my room after moving back from University. I have built a shelf inside a built-in wardrobe and lowered the hanger raill, I intend for a 40 inch plus size TV (anything to a maximum 70cm in height and 130cm cm in length) to sit in there. I do however have a PC on the other side of the room, about 4/5m away which I would like to connect for both audio and visual (Films, MMOs, Minecraft etc while laying in bed). What would the most cost effective and easiest way? I thought of using a good quality 5m high speed HDMI cable (£5) run under a rug from A to B? The TV will be HD / 3D, so would this effect the quality of either sound or picture? If so, does anyone recommend anything different or am I good to go? I'd rather not spend more than £30 on a solution if possible.
Thank you in advance.

An HDMI cable would be the easiest way. The fact it's a 3D TV just means to utilise the 3D you'll need a cable which is HDMI 1.4 specification.

Don't forget the distances required to go up to the back of the TV and to the back of the PC - measure it with a piece of string first and then add a little, you may find you need a 7m or 10m cable rather than a 5m cable!

Then - get your PC set up with something like XBMC to give you a nice easy-to-use interface when you're wanting to watch films etc on the TV.
