Should have me bits tomorrow but just wanted to sanity check some settings...

E6300 C2d, Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 mobo and OcUK 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

As I haven't built a PC for yonks can I check that these settings are what they should be for stock:

FSB: 266
Multiplier: x7 = 1862MHz
DIMM Timings: CAS 5-5-5-12, @1.8v
Memory divider: ??

Is there anything I need to know that's changed over the past few years in mobo settings?

Also, seeing as I was hoping to overclock a bit ( perhaps up to 400FSB x 7 = 2800 if I'm lucky ) once stable, could some kind soul divulge how low they have got the timings on the OcUK value sticks? 5-5-5-12 sounds a bit slack :)

Ta muchly!

EDIT: oops, perhaps this should be in overclocking forum.. please feel free to move, dons :p

those stock values are correct. how ever the memory may default to 5-5-5-15 and and it probbaly wont be set at 800mz be default its more likely to be set at 667 wich is a 4:5 divider or possibly even 533 1:1.

dont know about the value stick but will be interesting to read of what you can get aout of them as they are a very good price :) most ram does 4-4-4-12 so maybe you can get em to that :)
