Alright. Everything so far is perfect with my new setup, apart from 1 thing!

When I go to turn on my PC, it will go on as if it was going to boot up, then suddenly it will power off within a few secs. I then have to turn it off at the PSU, turn it back on, then try the power switch again and it'll work. Why is this? (and it doesn't happen all the time).

And just another small thing: when I turn my PC off for the night, I notice there's a green LED light on my motherboard that stays on? Is this normal? Or should it actually be off?

I have an Asus P7P55D-E motherboard btw ^^

Sounds like a dodgy PSU to me. First things first. Un plug everything, break everything back into its components and rebuild. Might have not connected something properly.

Either that or its overheating. Check to see if your heat sink is in contact with your CPU correctly and make sure its got thermal paste on it.

Try that an let us know how it goes. Also, it may be useful to post up your specs.

Asus P7P55D-E
Intel i5 760
GeForce 460GTX 1gb
G.Skill RipJaw 4gb
Corsair 650w

Used thermal paste, it's not overheating o_o and I'm pretty sure everything is in it's right place
