Quick RAID 1 Question

If I delete the RAID 1 array and try to use the two 200gb hard drives separately, will the data that is currently on there be on both hard drives? I'm guessing it is as that is the whole idea of RAID, but just thought I'd check

Only reason is I urgently need more disk space and I don't really need the RAID array, so I can free up 200gb by deleting the array.

yep because raid 1 is mirror

both disks will have the same data on them.

Well I removed the RAID array, and now both drives appear to be blank Windows Computer Management shows both drives to have unallocated space on the hard drives. Any ideas?

EDIT - Never mind i've found a program to recover it all.
