Quick RAM compatibilty question...

Hi,

Is the Corsair CMD4GX3M2A1600C9 compatible with the CMP8GX3M2A1600C9


I've been offered the first one (4gb kit) for a low price and i plan to buy the second one (8gb kit) but the model numbers are slightly different (differences in bold :)) and i was wondering whether they will work together with my sandybridge rig :)

Completely agree. But... It looks sooooooo good!!!

And after spending so Much already purely on looks (I mean, £90 on lIghting:eek:) I see no point in ruining it now :(

Any idea whether the ram will work together?
 
If youre on your computer (on phone ATM) then take a look at EKWB online store and youll see the EK dominator ram blocks. It's compatible only with corsair dominator and Mushkin copperhead.

Rjkoneill said it was something to do with the screws.
 
I've seen so many amazing pics with the ram blocks that I really wanted one :p

I'm thinking of running dual loops so a ram block with blue fluid and the graphics cards with green would look epic :p

Would you mind giving me a quick explanation of voltage and sandy compatibility. I am a noob :p

Also, it's pretty pathetic how both of us are talking about ram and blocks as if they're girls. Lol!!:p
