Just wondering something before I order another batch of Crucial Ballistix PC5300.

I'm currently running 2x 1gb sticks, and was going to order another set of 5300 for it, to run 4gb on XP, but my question is if I were to order Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA1065) and use it with my 5300 would it be better? Or would it be better to use the same speed all over kinda-thing?

I'm guessing (and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) it probably won't make any difference as you'll only be able to run it as fast as the slowest RAM in your system anyway. Don't think you can set different pairs of RAM to run at different speeds.

They're pretty much the same thing.

So I wouldn't see any point in spending the extra £30 to run PC8500 with your current PC5300.
