Quick reality check please

I don't ever seem to have a month without a monster bill to pay holiday, car/boat service, wife's studies, decorators, whatever. So none, but I have a nice lifestyle! At the moment it looks like next April might be a nice cheap month, I'll let you know then.

But when you're as sexy as you does it matter? Your life sounds great - I'm sure you wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world. :)

Roughly 25% of my take home after absolutely everything is paid. Would be nice to have a bit more play money, but for my age I've no grounds to whinge. :)

Just bought a house, so between me and the missus we normally have about £200 left over each month.
I however don't leave car stuff to chance I am currently banking £300 a month to cover everything car related (apart from fuel that is sadly £250 - £300 on it's own :( )

nothing at the moment paying all debts off asap, we should be totally debt free (apart from house) by January next year... need a new front door as ours is pants

£500~ give or take.

Except in reality it becomes £0, as whatever is left above £0 in my account on payday gets moved to savings.

You use pants for a front door ???
doesn't it get drafty ?
aren't you worried about burglars ?

oh and you must have a massive *** :p

£4 -£5 if we're good.

There is ALWAYS a birthday, insurance, building project, something to keep the outgoings ticking over.

At the moment all spare goes to CC's. Without them me and the wife will in theory come out with £300ish.

Once her wages go up, CCs paid off and the second kid starts school we hope it will be £700-£800

It used to be just over £1k sometimes closer to £1500 between me and the wife, i work 6 days a week at our chippy, she does 3 days at the chippy and 3 days for the NHS, so we put the hours in. At the moment its all going on a new kitchen and fixing up the rest of the house so times are hard at my house at the moment, we still have a take away once a week, maybe go out to eat on sundays, but the bills are always paid and the cars always have fuel so its not a major problem for me going without new gadgets ans the mrs cutting back on her cosmetic pampering for a while.
Guess we are lucky that we dont have kids atm or we wouldnt stand a chance of have half as much left.

About £600 but that goes to paying off CC's that were used for holidays/other expensive stuff.

If I include what we have on a standing order for savings, weve got around £1500 a month left after shopping etc.

Over £1000 once I've paid bills and food, only been back on a UK wage for a 1.5 months, feels good
