Quick ROBOCOPY help

Hi all,

I've got a directory which contains a load of MKV files. These are made up of:

episode.mkv
episode.sample.mkv

I want to bulk move all the mkv files without copying the .sample ones.

I assume some sort of XF switch?

/xf *sample*

Ha, knew it.

So, that will skip any file that contains the word sample in the filename...?

yup. i suppose you could make it a bit more precise...

/xf *.sample.mkv

incase you have other filenames containing sample that you do want copied.

I only have to say: "I've just written a batch file incorporating Robocopy switches I've never used before," and Mrs. Crash is practically uncontrollable. :eek:
