Before i hit buy now I was wondering if anyone spots any problems with doing the following

Upgrading from:

ASRock 775Dual-VSTA
Core2 E6600 (keep using this)
2x512MB DDR1 Crucial Ballistix Ram
Geforce 6800 GT AGP
17" Sony Trinitron CRT
IDE HDD & DVD-RW
Antec True Power 430W non-2.0 compliant PSU

By buying
Abit IP35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £82.24
OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 £35.24
Gainward BLISS GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB £220.89
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA-II 16MB Cache £44.64
Asus DRW-1814BLT 18x DVD±RW SATA £19.96
Antec TruePower Trio 650W PSU £79.89
Samsung SM-226BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor £207.96

Just want to be sure this is a sensible upgrade and all the various componets will actually work together!

Thanks for your help

You’ve forgotten to add something cheap from the media range to get a free ocuk burger, sorry that not great help but I did feel it important! :)

Well the pebble monitor is on offer atm at under £200 is worth a look :) also what about looking at the 8800 GT? and possibly go for a larger HDD with money saved in other areas?

Whats the difference with the pebble monitor?

how does the 8800GT compare performance wise, I thought the gts cards were better.

I've already got 1.5Tb of storage on other drives, this ones just for running windows and installed apps on.

the corsair HX520W psu will be a better choice and wull run that system fine

Any particular reason for recommending this PSU, what reputation do Corsair PSUs have?

They have the reputation for being the best PSUs in that range. The 520 is quiet, good looking, modular, stable, and well priced. I've had a couple of them in builds and they're most excellent.

I think the pebble has the same panel (please correct me if I'm wrong) it just looks a bit different and is cheaper. I agree the GTS are the better card but I suppose it depends on how much you have to spend and how long you tend to keep your gfx cards? The GTs are supposedly very good for the money. Just a thought really.

Thanks for the advice, I changed my mind on a couple of things but I now have my stuff:
