I've applied for the rma (took a while, seagates website isn't very clear...)
and have all the details sent through to me.

Do I litrally just send the drive? Or do I have to put some other stuff with it (such as print out one of the order acknowlagment emails)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

all i will say is good luck ! i rma'd a drive to them a few months ago and they sent me back an empty box ! luckily they found out that drives had been going missing from their factory so they sent me a replacement.......

They should just give you an RMA number (their system gives you prints out to include in the box and on the packaging), got my replacement within 5 days.

I've sent it well packaged, 1st class recorded with the rma number on the outside and printed out the email and thats on the inside

Hopefully I'll get my drive back by Friday :)

i need to send my Seagate back today, i have the RMA number and details, thing is though i havent got a proper HD box and plastic packing, what should i do?

i have put the HD in an antistatic bag, can i then just bubble wrap it put it in a small? or wont they give a replacement if i bubble wrap it?

any ideas?

thanks

Ask for an Advanced RMA. Choose this option and they will send you out a new HDD first. Once you receive it you send your broken one back in the packaging that the new one arrived in.
