I'll (hopefully) be getting my 3rd GTX 780 tomorrow, a MSI GTX 780 gaming twinfrozr card to run 3-way SLi along side my two MSI GTX 780 reference.
I just have a very quick question regarding SLi/3-way SLi installation on the X79 platform regarding drivers and such.
I'm going to put a reference card in the middle and the twinfrozr at the bottom. -> http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l131/Gripen90/IMG_5767Custom.jpg
What will the proper installation procedure be software wise ?
Should I uninstall the GFX drivers first, and then install the cards and then reinstall the drivers and then the nVidia X79 PCIE 3.0 patch ?
OR can I just install and switch around the cards and then start the PC and then everything runs again ? eg. PCI-E 3.0 is active and such (of course I need to enable 3 way SLi).
I've always done the first "method", but if it's not necessary then I'll just save some time and go straight to gaming/benchmarking
