Quick snack ideas

I'm looking for some snack ideas that I can graze on between meals. They need to meet the following criteria:
  • Nothing unhealthy. Doesn't necessarily have to be healthy, but things like crisps, chocolate, etc are out
  • Must be quick to make OR can be made in a big batch in advance and keep for more than a couple of days
Here's a few of my favourites in case it helps anyone else looking for the same sort of thing:
  • Fruit. Bananas, sultanas and ready to eat apricots are my go-to's
  • Carrots/celery with houmous
  • Greek yogurt topped with sultanas and/or granola
  • Beef jerky/Biltong. Not the ones caked in sugar/salt
  • Peanut butter. Straight out of the jar, like an animal
  • Chickpea, date and cashew bites
  • Feelgood flapjacks
  • Energy bites
  • Huel shake
  • Cheese and crackers
  • Nuts. Cashews when I'm flush, or big bulk bag of red skin peanuts for the other 364 days of the year

Any other suggestions?

Miso soup.

You can buy a miso soup paste in a lot of supermarkets. Put a couple of teaspoons in a bowl or large cup. Dissolve in a tiny bit of hot water, and then add more hot water once you have made a smooth paste.
You can jazz it up with tofu or vegetables (e.g sporting onions or grated carrot)
If you want more protein drop an egg in, and then chuck in microwave for 1min.
I like to add a teaspoon of chilli oil.
 
Popcorn?

When it's air-popped and lightly seasoned, popcorn is an efficiently healthy snack. That's because it is a whole grain, and high-fiber whole grains have been linked to a lower risk of heart disease, diabetes, some cancers and other health problems. Federal dietary guidelines say half of all grains consumed should be whole grains, and popcorn packs more fiber per serving than whole-wheat bread.

I keep buying things like Propercorn, which probably isn't as healthy. I should learn to pop my own really... I'm sure it's not hard...

I know you said no crisps, but I like to snack on Popchips, which are quite low calorie. If you get the individual bags, they're only 70 cals. Even the big 90g sharing bags are only around 370 calories.
 
Kallo Corn Cake + Marmite
84kcal, 5g protein for two portions.

Ideal as a work draw staple as marmite lasts forever at room temp and the corn cakes fare well for at least a week or more. I also have a jar of peanut butter to add to the corn cakes when I want something less marmite!

Protip: get the squeezy marmite as its a cleaner endeavour to do at your work desk without cutlery to hand than spreading the original jar stuff :p

Nakd Bars - you can get boxes of the things from Amazon dirt cheap. I'd say they are relatively healthy given they are just dates + other bits squashed together.
 
@AndyCr15 it's easy to make in a pan, but those gadgets for like £20 make life much easier!

Oooh, I'd never thought of buying a maker. I assume you mean something like this? How do you flavour them?

Also, in a pan, does it not just all pop out? (**EDIT** Okay, a lid is the obvious answer, my bad... brain fart)

I bought a small bag a year or two back and never really got round to looking up how I make it... I really should just do some research...
 
Yeah just that kind of thing. I tend to just sprinkle some salt/sugar over the top once it's made.

I have tried making sweet popcorn by baking it after with caramel but it didn't turn out right. Similar to buttery, i always find it goes a bit soggy. I'm sure there are probably flavour spinkle sachets/pots. I've just never looked into it.
 
for sweet popcorn I find the Monin sugar cane syrup works well with some coconut oil in my microwave maker, doesn't add many calories either.

I bought a box of these before Christmas, as you say they're not bad. I just sometimes find the texture a bit of a "bleugh" type thing if that makes sense! I'd got some for long runs, but not sure i can picture myself running along chewing for 5 minutes!
