Hi all, I have now decided to upgrade my system as I realised after I posted about overclocking my check, that I have in fact got one of the original I5 Quad Core Lynnfield chips the 750 @ 2.67 so the chip is a few years old and unsure how it will overclock.

I decided to build again so I put this spec together. These are the only components I need:

Also I have been reading that the Z77 chipsets have an issue with sound cards on PCI, so the only thing I was of changing was the mobo down to a Z77-D3H as it is cheaper and put it towards a PCI-E sound card. Also I have a 19" samsung monitor running at 1650 x 1050. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldnt bother with the H60 CLC to be honest. The H100 is the best CLC option if not the antec 920. It's hard to recommend an air heatsink without knowing your case.

670 vs 7950

Faster RAM which is a little cheaper than your choice. GigaByte has a good 3 year uk based warranty. The MSI 670 also comes with a 3 year warranty

Thanks all for the advice, my case is the one in my sig, which is the Antec P182 so I got plenty of room. My worry with the cooler is that it is big and covers ram slots, but otherwise I got no issues with going air cooled if it is going to be quieter than the H60. Thanks again and any advice is welcomed.

Also would the Geil Black Dragon Ram fit as there is about 40mm clearence I think between the cooler and ram slots. Thanks again.

Yes, the 2 sticks of ram will go in slots 2&4 and they are low profile, so will not interfere with the cooler.
In regards to the sound card, a PCI Express would be a better investment.
