Currently whats the lates and best spyware protection software available, for not being a hog and just pure cleaning?

Depends on the infection. I use Spybot, but then I do not have any issues myself with spyware or Viruses. I am fixing a Laptop atm which is infected with Virtumonde trogen and the only thing that will completely remove it is windows onecare.
