When installing my intel ssd 80gb do I have to worry about partitioning the drive or do I only do this in my mechanical drive? I ask because the motherboard manual suggests:

When partitioning your hard drive, make sure
to leave unallocated space (10 GB or more is
recommended; actual size requirements vary,
depending on the amount of data) and begin the
installation of the operating system.

Cheers

Yes, I'm having a mechanical 1TB HD for storage.
On that point I'm just thinking about partitioning the mechanical HD - is it best to do this using windows 7 or FDisk and do I need to specify the relationship between the two HDs in BIOS?
