Gf just broke the tv, we're totally skint this month but need a tv pretty much right away for over Xmas
any recommendations for a 32 full hd tv I can pickup from sansburys, Tesco, Argos, curries etc for under £300?
Needs to be 1080 but other than that not fussed

No worries dude, just stressed it all happening this close to Xmas. Last thing I needed tbh!

I understand.

just a point though - you do know that on a screen size of 32" you would be really hard pushed to notice any difference at all between 720p and 1080p....? Understanding that you have a limited budget and, it seems, a screen size restriction of 32" then I could no reason to dismiss a 720p as not being suitable.

Heck I find it hard to see some differences, and they can be subtle, between the two HD resolutions on my 50" or 42" flat screen TV.

There are more things than just the 1080p that can make a decent picture - the LG one noted is a particularly good panel and a good buy for the cost.

your choice, of course, but just have a think about it.

This seems a nice buy (Smart function as well if you want it)....

a little over your budget though, but it does have that smart function.

look at this list for 32" models without the Smart function....

Samsung UE32EH5000 or 4000 or Panasonic TXL32EM5B would be the ones to go for in that price range.

Check out richer sounds Xmas sale, or if not local there is a large etailer that begins with E and ends in buyer that delivers free if you spend over £50...

richer sounds are doing a 1080p 40" sharp for 229 in the xmas sales and a Samsung u32eh5000 for £249

ended up getting the u32eh5000 from comet, sadly no richer sounds etc locally and I needed it before xmas.
typical really as I'd have liked that samsung 3d one from sainsburys but not expected in locally till after new year.
thanks for the advice guys!
