Aren't supervisors meant to be good at making their own decisions?

In conclusion improve your wardrobe.

This collection is either awesome or downright terrifying, I haven't yet decided which.

Whilst I am sympathetic to your desire to impress at an interview, basic shirt tie combinations are just that, basic. You need to learn what shirts go with which ties. You should also know when it is appropriate to wear a dinner jacket; job interviews are not one such situation. There is no shame in not knowing colour combinations, the error here is having a assortment of ties and shirts that don't match if you don't know what matches, ask! Presuming you are buying from a reputable store they will be more than happy to pick out matches for you for any occasion. Different combinations say different things and are suitable for different occasions.

From the list, white shirt cobalt tie.

Grey suit, white shirt. Hard to comment on the tie until we see pics but I'll go with cobalt for now.

Whenever I have an interview it is grey suit, white shirt and either a blue or green tie. It hasn't let me down.
