Quick TV receiving question

I have a Sony S-series 32" LCD with DVB.

If I plug this into an aerial, can it receive freeview? (Is that what the DVB is?)

Sorry, I have NO idea about TV anymore - I bought the TV for DVD and console use and it has not even been plugged into an aerial or tuned.

Or are Freeview and DVB different things?

Yeah DVB = Digital Video Broadcasting, which is what freeview is.

Providing you can receive freeview in your area, then it will work.

So plug aerial in, tune in and buy a TV licence are the only steps required?

No digibox or subscription or nothin'?

Just plug in the aeriel and get that tv licence!
When you first turn it on it may tune it then for you,
You don't need anything else!
