I currently have an Abit IP35-PRO, Q6600 @ 3.4GHz, and 8GB of PC2-8500. I have two Radeon 3870 512MB cards, but have pretty much run to the end of their lifespan, unable to cope with new games at my native res (1920x1200), and I'm sure one of the cards is on its way out.

What do I upgrade to? I was thinking two 4890's, but I have no idea of the performance of the new 5700 series (I'd get 5870's but they just seem impossible to acquire at the moment).

What should I get (ATI only please), and will I be bottlenecked by the rest of the system?

Bear in mind whatever I buy now will be moved to my i7 build early next year.

Cheers.

The best value you'll get would be 2 5850s at their release price. 5870s are rip offs, 5770s are about the same performance as 4870s.

4890s will likely be the fastest cards you'll get currently to crossfire.

I'd recommend you wait a bit and try to get t 5850s if you want the best performance for the best money.

If not, get 2 5770s.
