Quick Wii EU Console Questions

nice one thanks....

Is the warranty transferrable to the UK?

Whats the lead like? is it a kettle lead or do I have to just get a 2 pin to 3 pin adapter?

Do you need the original receipt for the warranty? (the console is brand new)

It comes with a 1 year Nintendo warranty which should be valid anywhere as long as you have some proof of purchase. The lead is a 2-pin european plug with no earth so you either need a 2 pin to 3 pin adapter (aka shaver adapter) or you could cut the plug off and stick a UK one on it.

The plug is the only difference. I just got back from Germany and I saw hundreds of Wii's and DS's everywhere over there.

belgium has loads of shops selling them for around the 225 mark have been for months including extras like driving wheel...

but that was last week perhaps they are all gone now....

Same, got back just in time for topgear tonight :)

i got a euro one a couple of weeks ago, but i had to preorder it form a company on the back of a pc mag, they supplied a plug addapter that you put the 2pin in and its a normal plug. i got 2 tho for some reason.

All you need is a cheapo £5 travel adapter.
Got my boy one from the german popular internet retailer as i wouldnt pay extra to people profiteering on the popular auction site.
Or elsewhere.
