I just started playing WoW and met a few really cool people and we went questing together. We all agreed to meet again on boxing day but nobody said where exactly. I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to find them since I don't know if it'll show up that I'm still in the party when I log on. Would it still show up that i'm in the group or do I have to join again?

soz for the noob questions

It is almost certain that the party has disbanded, but in future, if you come across guys you like, you can add them to your friends list. Can you remember their names?

i do remember all of them. Is there a search function where I can look for them?

Its best adding them in your friend list. It'll tell you when they come online in the chat window then so you can talk to them and party up before they start doing other things. :p

Yeah, this is the best idea, you can then ask them where you were meant to meet up. :)

Cool, will try all that. I can't believe I spent 8 hours today playing a game. Most I was able to do before was 2-3 hours on CSS. I can see this game becoming quite addictive. There's just always something to do or someone to knife

q f t!

say goodbye to your friends :p

Funniest thing ive ever heard recently was my mate from where i used to work, i used to talk about WoW all the time when i was into it. And he said he fancied trying it etc.

Well now he plays it a lot at his dads house where the pc is, and he says his dad is "gonna get it uninstalled". to which i laughed.. then he responded "hes just jealous" ROFL :D

There should be WoWers Anonymous

My best piece of advice: quit before it's too late. Trust me.

Lol i avoid saying that to people on here now because i get told off. but there are VERY FEW people that can play this game casually, without wasting endless hours on it.

its a lifedrain thats for sure :)

Perhaps I should. Bear in mind though, I only work 2 hours per day and don't need to work more. My gf and mates all have normal 8-5's. I somehow need to keep myself busy during the day. I'm spending it programming, learning a new language, and promising myself to train for London marathon. Might as well introduce a new hobby.

I recently started playing (a month or two back) and got REALLY into it.

For instance my girlfriend went away for a weekend so I had nothing to do so I set up my bed so I could sit with cusions behind me, legs under desk. That's all I did all weekend, no sleep, only moved for food or toilet.

Thinking back to it now I can see it was ****ing ridiculous, I don't even know why I liked it so much (only stopped playing yesterday).

If you're gonna play an MMO at least try to play one that you really enjoy (for me it was SWG), that way you won't feel like a prize idiot for spending time on it. Never for a second questioned the amount of time I spent on SWG being worth it (a lot) because I enjoyed it so much.

Saying all this I might start playing WoW again once I get home and the GF wants to quest lol.

:EDIT: OMG! Just talking about WoW has given me a craving for it! I must go to bed right now or I'll never be awake tomorrow.

I can never NOT go to bed or give my life totally to a game. I start feeling guilty after a few hours and get bored anyway. Only reason I played so much is I was in a party and it was fun helping everyone. Besides, I'm away for a week now and when I come back I'll have more free time to really get into it. Perhaps I do, perhaps I don't. I'm in desperate need of a new game to play.

A mate of mine broke up with his gf since she quit her job to play this game full time. She signed up for the dole and that was it. Apparently she does regular 50+ hours sessions. To me that's totally ****ing ridiculous

Sounds familiar, people kept saying that to me. My brother started up about a year ago and said he wouldn't like it and wouldn't play it much. Hes an officer of a big guild now playing 6-9+ hours a day including sometimes 10-12 hour sessions raiding.

They all say it! Few survive. :p

I wouldnt say its "not a good game"

But agree fully that it brings nothing new to the MMORPG table.

and the simple fact about these games are.......They suck you in.

ok off to play some wow :o
