Quick WOW question

Annoying thing is that it's not even a particularly good game.

i can see why so many people play it, but I really hated getting to level 60, to think something so necessary to the game could be such a horribly boring and grinding process

It was the first MMORPG i had played properly, so it was all new to me, and i loved it... but looking back, although i had a laugh.. It wasnt really worth the time that i wasted :)

like someone said. its quite suprising how few people can actually just play it without being hooked :)

I just started playing last week, what realm are you on?

(All of you feel free to answer that)

My characters were on Silvermoon initially, then Kul Tiras. Kul Tiras is a nice enough server.

I'm on Kilrogg, people in WoW seem a LOT less friendly than other MMORPGS i've played :\

There are lots of decent people, but there are a lot of kids who dont really enjoy helping out, and just want favours from others all the time.

Kilrogg is one of the worst servers there is going, I was there from day one, and about 90% of the people that were in our first guild rerolled because it was so bad.

I'm rerolling on the 16th January.

It does seem pretty bad :(

You have to create a new character though don't you?

Either that or you can do a paid character transfer, not sure how much it costs though.

about £13

Im on hellscream btw and its quality. a lot of nice players there and some good friendly competition

The games been out for 20months (just over)
And my main character is /played "93days" and my 1st alt is "42 days" and my others all come to about "30 days"

So in 20 months, nearly 6 months is spent playing wow.

Is that bad?

Not really, I spent 5 years (apart from a break or two) playing UO constantly 3-6+, sometimes 9 hours a day depending on what I was doing. No matter how bad you think you have it theres always someone worse. :p

Although I spent so much time on UO I never regretted it or looked back and asked "why?". I do that with WoW all the time.

I'd give anything to have the old days of UO back. :(

Sounds familiar, people kept saying that to me. My brother started up about a year ago and said he wouldn't like it and wouldn't play it much. Hes an officer of a big guild now playing 6-9+ hours a day including sometimes 10-12 hour sessions raiding.

They all say it! Few survive. :p

Nah, I can't do it since the missus would go ape **** on me and pull the PC plug out. She does that quite a lot sometimes. Besides, I just played for about 30min today and got bored :( . It's not the same if you don't quest together.

You should buy a UPS. So when she unplugs it it doesn't turn off. :D

That'd throw her off.
