I've just started a new Undead Warlock and for some reason can't get Herbalism as a secondary skill. Is it a secondary skill? I have enchanting and Alchemy as primary skills but would obviously need Herbalism for Alchemy. I've visited Faruza in Brill just outside the Undercity but she doesn't give me an option to train my Herbalism. Where do I got to get herbalism as a skill?

If you're going to stick with enchanting, instead of dropping that for Alch/Herb, you may consider taking herbalism as your second primary profession anyway - it's a decent source of income selling flowers :)

Its also a major pain in the ass - which is why its a decent source of income I guess. Main reason I quit WoW until TBC was I got so sick of running round Felwood and Azshara farming frigging dreamfoil.

I've nicked 600 Gold from a mate who got sick of WoW and gave me all his money and gear. I don't need the money since I get some minor income with completing quests and have all this gold just sitting there.

tailoring and enchanting are a pain in the ass now cause of getting both to 375 :(( taking for ever to lvl enchanting or at least it will do :(((

Noticed this thread and thought I'd pass on some advice.

At first get yourself two gathering professions. Take skinning (as this is a big money maker, especially good because you're going to be killing a hell of a lot of beasts in your time!) and choose between herbalism and mining depending on your future career choices (If you want to be blacksmith obviously choose mining whereas wannabe alchemists choose herbalism).

Then when you get to lvl 40+ and have maxxed out both gathering professions drop one and learn the crafting profession your remaining gathering porfesion supports. For instance if you have skinning and mining you could give up minig and take leatherworking or give up skinning and take up blacksmithing.

It might seem like a bit of a silly way to do it, but this way you'll have plenty of cash to speed up your game and get you to the next areas (Which will speed up the rate at which you learn your profession of course) and then when you're level 45 spend a few gold buying materials to grind your crafting proffession up to a decent standard without wasting any time.

I think it's simply a case of talking to the first trainer of the profession you want to get instead. They should tell you that you need to give one up and give you a choice IIRC.

Is it possible to abandon the skills? I have tailoring and enchanting and find both really dull!!

Open your character sheet, hit "Skills" tab, find the trade skill and click on it, then there is a little red button in the lower portion of the screen.
