Quickest way to find out if UDP is being suppressed within a network?

Hi guys,

Bit of a brain freeze, what is the best way of confirming if UDP is being suppressed within a network?

Pinging UDP ports or..?

I would guess you would ping manually or use a tester

e.g.
http://udp-test-tool.software.informer.com/2.5/


Note: i havent used it personally just a google search

Although... that does somewhat rely on you knowing how fast it should be on your network

If its being "blocked" you should receive an ICMP type 3 destination unreachable diagnostic message from the device that's blocked the connection attempt. tcpdump / wireshark would verify this.

If its being "dropped" you won't receive any notification.
