Quickshield

Anyone experienced this piece of malware yet? It's on a laptop i'm trying to fix and none of the usual suspects can get rid of it (spybot, ad-aware, ewido). AVG is running now but i'm not hopefull.

There dosnt seem to be much info available via Google yet either, either that or im not searching for the right thing...

Can anyone help?

(Laptops using XP sp2 thats got auto updates on if that helps).

Hmm... looks like Quickshield is actually Quikshield... all of a sudden there is a wealth of information available!

plug it into the net, run microsoft defeder

then run hitmanpro it runs loads of antispyware apps, gets the updates then gives a report after, really well put together bit of software!

Never used that before, looks useful.

Once i managed to spell it right i managed to get rid of it quite easily with the help of Hijackthis.
