I have a lot of AVC-HD files (Quicktime). I want to shrink them from 1080P to QVGA to put them on the web. Yes, I'll lose a lot of quality but that isn't the point - I'll be keeping the originals.

Anyone know of any free tools that will help? I can handle MPEG-1/2/4 and variants, and AVI, but not Quicktime. Being an Apple format, it may help to know that I own a Mac (as well as Windows and Linux PCs).

Thanks.

Any links please? That's going to be a bit of a difficult Google search. :)

Also discovered iMovie will open the files, albeit very slowly. Looks like it'll do for the web but not sure whether I'll be able to use it for future projects and retain quality. Still, it's about time I found a good use for my Mac Mini. :D
