Are 8TB Ironwolf noisy? I need a drive that will initially go in a PC then will be transferred to a NAS later on. So ideally a nas drive, but it has to be quiet. I would get the wd red but I just can't find one in stock at the moment. Are the ironwolf that much more noisy??

I dont own an Ironwolf drive but I have heard that sound wise the 8TB WD Red Plus is supposed to be a bit quieter so you might want to look into that if noise is very important to you.
Plenty of shops here in Denmark have the 8TB Reds stocked so you should be able to find them.

I have a server with 8 x 8tb Seagate EXOS drives in, and it's really very quiet. Quieter than my Reds
