Quiet but effective fans

:p

I'd rather wait for a site like SPCR to test them against other fans properly if I'm honest.

I have Sharkoon SE 2000 running at 7v by fan control and they are brilliant.

I might buy a Yate just to try one out, I have 2 x Lian Li case fans and a Scythe CPU fan to sell that could fund it, they are all quiet bust shift half the air of my sharkoons.

Everybody here seems to really rate the Yate Loons but I seem to be alone in thinking they don't shift a lot of air and are pretty loud. I had to sell the 2 that I got on ebay as the performance was worse than the coolermaster stock fans I had.
I like the look of those Sharkoon Blue Led ones though.

Personally I would look for the Nexus 120mm fans, they're based on Yate Loons but running at 9-10v and 1000rpm. They're quieter without compromising too much on airflow, only about £1 more, come with rubber mounts and the black/white ones look a lot better.

Got two of these today, and they're ace

The Sharkoons are good ain't they :)

What rpm does sharkoon 120mm 2000 series fan rotate at using 7v btw?

Well, if it scales linearly then it will be about 1167 RPM.

(x / 12)*7 where x is the RPM

Although doing a little bit of research it would appear that they don't scale linearly with voltage (didn't think they would), they tend to be about 15-20% higher than that.

So the fan is probably 1330-1400 rpm at 7v.

I've got the SL's, they have both a 3pin motherboard header connection aswell as 4 pin molex.

The SLs can be had for £4 including VAT if you know where to look.

hi m8, i got 6 x SLs today from Ocuk and they ALL got a 3 pin connection but NO 4 pin molex,.(sry for hyjack)
thanx
