Linus Hamming it up for clicks as always, I've been running that cooler for 6 months+ It's a good cooler but it's just a black coloured version of the standard version.

It's not supprising it's good compared to a CM hyper 212 evo... they are good for what they are too, but I would put them in the mid/budget range of CPU coolers.

Also, that video is 3 years old.

I checked on it earlier and even in silent mode the fans were still running at 1100. I've set a custom curve now. Temps are up 2-3 degrees but it's definitely quieter.

High 40s idle. Not sure about load at I only have 1 monitor. Only about 65c on prime95. But coming out of gaming I've seen it cooling down from over 70.

I'm not happy with the fan noise on my Thermalright Peerless Assassin SE.

Is it a recent purchase? I'm not sure but ISTR one of the reviews of the new Assassin cooler noted a batch of bad fans.
