Quiet PSU's ?

I currently have a hyper PSU as per sig.

Going to try and get my PC a bit quieter and was thinking of -
1) changing my x3 120mm acoustifan's for Noctua NF-S12's
2) get some akasa sound proof matting and line the top, non window side and bottom of case (and would then mouth pump ponto matting instead of direct to case)
3) change the PSU! I am going to upgrade to a 8800 series card and was wondering if people could recommend a good PSU, quiet, with interchangable power leads so I can ditch the unused ones!

Corsair PSU's are damn quiet, 10 year warranties too.

Most PSUs will ahve a db rating take a look on the manufacurers website. Anything <25db is dead quite.

Ye it obviously depends what the rest of your pc and environment is like. My gaming computer is pretty loud to me compared to this computer which has been specifically quietened. However when compared to friends computers my gaming pc is quite quiet.

Try Corsair or Tagan PSU's, they are very quiet.

None of the OCZ I have had are quiet so take that onboard if you choose them, and the ones I had were sold as "Silent" lol
