Quiet Server Required

Dear all

We need a server for our office but it must sit in with the staff and therefore be as quiet as possible. We have a Dell 2800 elsewhere and those who are familiar with them know they are totally unsuitable. However I really like Dell Server support which I've used a couple of times.

Does anyone have any recommendations for quiet servers and if they are not made by Dell, what experiences of support do you have ?

Thanks

David

I've deployed a few of the HP ML300 series tower servers (ML360's and 380's to be precise) which are quiet for servers but asking for a quiet-ish server is a bit like asking for a dog that says meow. The rackmount DL range are too loud for your needs.

The smartstart software that comes with them is pretty good aswell.

TBH the server and related network equipment should be kept locked in their own ventilated and preferably air conditioned room. This would mean noise wouldn't be a factor.
