Quiet small(power) PSUs?

Not particularly. It's a bog standard budget psu built down to a price. It's not even bronze rated. It also has hard wired cables, something that can be a problem in itx cases.

The XFX TS 430w would be a better buy and it's even cheaper yet is a Seasonic built unit with a 5 year warranty and is bronze rated. It's still hardwired but most of the cables are flat so easier for cable management.

If you are using itx cases do you know which ones? A lot of them have maximum psu lengths.

Hmm, thanks.

Not too fussed about power efficiency at all really.

I've never done an ITX build before, but cables can literally just be shoved in fortunately.
It's the Antec ISK-600M ITX (5 of them actually) - the description stated the case supports normal ATX PSUs, so fingers crossed.

Generally the better the rating, the better the quality of the internals although not always the case. Surely as they are for work the 5 year warranty of the XFX is worthwhile, especially as it's cheaper and better.

There are 2 versions of the Antec 600 and the 600M is m-ATX not itx so be careful which version you order. I like that case and am thinking of the 600M to replace the wifes ancient NSK 3480.

Hi pasty, the OP did say "PCs that will likely be in Mini-ITX/ATX chassis" I assume that is mITX or mATX for the case.

Both the ISK600 and ISK600M certainly does support full sized ATX PSU's. As for wanting a quiet unit have you considered a fanless unit? They will break your budget but if the most important point is noise these are the option to go for.

P.S. Antec do not do fanless either. :)

Not too fussed about power efficiency at all really.

If the PCs are on 24/7 you should be fussed as you will save money by going for a higher efficiency unit.

If the PCs are in a confined space you should be fussed as a higher efficiency unit will generate less heat.

Thanks for confirming Ace.
Fanless would break the budget :p Not *that* fussed for noise.

They won't quite be on 24/7
Our building is probably using 350-400A constantly so a few extra aren't going to hurt.. :p

They'll be in an open office so no worries for heat etc.
