Good day all.

Please can you recommend me some media storage that is quiet preferably 2-4 TB. I'm currently using a seatgate 3tb but it's very loud compared to my case fans.

What are the sshd like for noise? I've been considering more samsung ssd's but they're so pricey currently and from my understanding raid 0 can be unreliable if i chose to put 2 or 3 together?

There’s no reason why an SSHD would be any quieter than than a traditional HDD.

Your drive could be particularly noisy. The 4TB WDC Red I have in my PC at the moment is quiet enough to not be noticeable.

If you believe the drive is louder than normal, you can run SeaTools and it will scan the disk just to make sure all is OK. Also, the BarraCuda 510 will be on sale soon as an alternative.

5400 rpm drives are clearly quieter than 7200 rpm drives.

2 drive striped array has twice the unreliability of single drive.
And 3 drive striped array is three times as likely to suffer breakdown and loss of all data. (except smallest files fitting inside that piece of stripe on non failed drives)
Whole term of "RAID 0" is complete oxymoron, because it lacks that Redundancy of that letter R, instead being more like AIDS.
