Had a quick google but she was no help. Needs to fit an 8800GTX love it to be feature loaded but the noise level is the most important for me. Ive seen the Cosmos mentioned and I've read a few reviews.. is this the best I can get? Budget of £250.

Cheers!

edit; does it have a mobo tray? ease of installation would be great too.

It's what you put in a case that makes it quiet no such thing really as a quiet case just get a decent case like the akasa eclipse, antec p182, Lian li pc7+III no real need to shell out loads to get a quality case just add some decent fans such as yateloons and a decent cpu cooler so you can just add the one quiet 120mm fan.

But if you insist on a top end case I'd be looking at the following cases

Silverstone TJ09 or TJ10

Lian Li A70 http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17787437

I'd go with the new Lian Li looking like a cracking case for around £150.

i built a system with a antec p182 a few weeks back. With the stock fans on low it was quiet. But as C64 said it what you got in the case. You need to look more at what your going to use for cooling than what case i think.

I'm liking what I read about the cosmos but as said it's the fans I put into it so could anyone help me out here?

has the specs for the fans. A concise list of addon fans I could buy to replace the included fans would be great and anything else I could addon to make it as cool and quiet as possible would be an immense help.

edit; I just bought the zalman 9700LED and that is quiet enough on low fan setting for me. q6600@3ghz sitting around 40c I'm really impressed. Tilting the fan speed up and not hearing it would be a dream though :)

This case is very quiet (and expensive) for £180 with thick aluminium panels and a rear fan noise dampener/heavyweight front door.

Yes, the S80B is the daddy of quiet cases. Add on a semi-passive CPU cooler like a Thermalright HR-01 and a passive GPU (Accellero S1 on an X1950Pro) and it really is next to silent.

Water-cool one with a PA120.3 in the roof and 7V Yate Loons all round for the optimal quiet PC experience.

Agreed! Mates got an s80 with a 4400+ x2, x1900xt and fanless psu.

Cooling is done by a zalman reserator v2. It's totally silent plus the psu has temp controlled fan connections that are plugged into the case fans. They only come on when it gets a little too toasty.

I'm about to watercool my A70 which you can see in my review C64 linked you to. I'll be fitting a 120.3 rad with sharkoons and a quiet pump. Only cooling the cpu for the moment but should cut out a decent amount of noise.
