Quilted Jackets

haha, I don't succumb to that stuff im afraid, some people at work say "oooh were working behind enemy lines today" im like.... huh? "oxford" they say :D

For the record, Oxford is better than Swindon. I say that coming from Oxford and hating it. You can't make my hate for Swindon fade away, it's in my blood!

They were all the rage last winter so I expec they'll be back again this time round. Decent quilted jackets look good but poory cut, thin or gimmicky one just look tat.

Unless you work on a farm they look stupid. End Of.

In The City they tend to be worn by the lower paid wannabes.

I like my quilted navy jacket, but it's canvas/cotton and not ***** polyester, so in my view a lot better :p. Each to their own though.

Where is a man who just wants to be plain and smart supposed to shop these days without being ripped off?

Factory outlets. Every brand has its smart and plain range which look perfectly fine and you can get them at huge discounts. I live/work here so don't shop here often but the outlets often have up to 80% off etc so it's not uncommon to find something normally worth £hundreds at a great price.

Might be previous season but who the hell cares about that.

They are indeed, terrible looking. Generally worn by the posh wannabes :p

In terms of smart jackets/coats. I'm still wearing a Jasper Conran grey coat that I got from Debenhams, what has to be 7 years ago now... Still going strong, and the only thing I've had to do to it is reattach the occasional button (When I say 'I've had to do', I actually mean the missus)

Kinda like this one, http://www.topman.com/en/tmuk/produ...inements=category~[1264617|207200]&bi=1&ps=20

Only not from TopGent, as their quality of late tends to be gash!
