I am really worried now, I have got insurance protecting my car with alloy wheel extra coverage.

I have changed my Rear back lights from stock golf mk.4 lights to the GTI stock lights (slightly darker indicators)

Will this affect me if i make a claim? does it mean that i need to tell them this?

What about Debadging it?

yep
i have first hand experiance of chainging head light bulbs for halogen ones , and having a claim knocked back, every little thing you do to your car that isnt standard has to be clearly stated when obtaining insurance otherwise you run the risk of the insurance company dismissing your claim, and dont forget they pay people to inspect your car and look for any discrepences so they dont have to pay out!!!!

awww that sucks, what do i do now them, my insurance has already been paid for and gone through.. :(

EDIT = ACTUALLY, i just realised i am with A-PLAN....no idea if that will make a difference!

Give them a ring and tell them

When I added alloys to my Astra I phoned Admiral, told them, and then paid the extra charge with my Switch card over the phone
