Quitest 70mm fan?

Hey guys, looking for a fan to replace the leaf blower currently cooling a stock celeron 2.6 775 sink, its fitted with a generic 70mm unit which sounds like its trying to push a harrier off the ground but with the effectiveness of a dead hamster.

Would that be a good quiet replacement or would I be better of looking at a new cooler, in whice case what would be the most silent and fairly cheap (~£20) option.

3000-6000rpm? I doubt it. Not sure what's quiet for 70mm but I doubt if 3000rpm is.

You might be better off strapping a 80 or 92mm fan on top of the cooler as a Ghetto mod.

At max. RPM, that thing is 45db. That's pretty loud for a fan!

So for £20, as you said, the Freezer 7 Pro would be a nice substitute.

You can get adapters so the you can run a 120mm fan on a hsf designed for smaller fan.

More airflow plus quieter
