You're probably right but there may be a supporter of the team he won the title with on here that knows? I'll give it an hour or so then reveal another (better!) clue.

No way? 00/01 maybe but I thought he played loads in 02/03. Oh well as you were :p

It shouldn't be too hard for people to work out which squad to look at if they really need to know, but obviously that means they can't then come and claim to have done it through pure brain power. I'll not believe anyone that comes up with it unless they support that team anyway :p.
 
It's Premier League yeah, as soon as you hear his name, you will instantly remember, but also know why you couldn't recall since there's been zero reason for this dudes name to be in your head for a long time now.
 
So if it's not Blackburn or Utd, I can't think of any other Chelsea players so it's got to be Arsenal.

Using wedgie's theory of black = african, Luis Boa Morte and some other young black forward were at Arsenal when they won the league in the late 90's. I know Boa Morte's Portuguese so I'm going for the other black guy, I don't know his name though.
 
Haha, no need for a clue I'm right :D

I had to cheat a bit to find his name though (so I won't name him just yet). I'm giving wedgie an assist for his theory.
