Quordle - Guess all four Quordle words in 9 tries

What is your approach to quordle? I use the same 3 opening words every time which generally reveals a reasonable number of letters, but this means I usually finish on 8 moves as there is invariably one word which could be one of two options and I always seem to pick the wrong one.

I'm yet to find one of my 3 opening words as a solution!

Always use EARTH to start. From there I prioritise certain letters depending on what that revealed - if I don't have any vowels I get after that first, and see about popular letters (S, C, F and so on). And after all these games you start to get a feeling for what the word setters like - they may go fully off-piste sometimes but in general you know some words are so niche that they're not going to appear. I tend to avoid words with repeating letters, which sometimes costs me but at least earlier on I like to make sure I'm trying as many letters as possible.

Thought I'd lost the chance for a six at top right, but I got to bottom right and found I'd already guessed it!

EARTH to start, and then I guessed the right way with TRITE. FLAGS for top right got me _LA__, guessed CLAMP which got me the P for PLANK. Then it had to be FORGE since I had everything but the O already figured out. Then lo and behold, nothing to do for bottom right since it was already done :cool:
