Quote for tree removal - advice please

I've just had a quote to remove 6 leylandii 7ft tall tree's, grind out the stumps etc, prune a large tree to remove about a third of it's height and to just top off a couple more leylandii.

Does £175 sound reasonable? That is to take all the debris away also.

That's not bad at all. I had a quote for a similar sounding amount of work coming in over twice that a while ago - at which point I balked and did it myself.

Assuming they're not fly-tipping the waste, they're likely having to pay 50 to 60 quid to the council to re-cycle it.

seems cheap to me - very reasonable

Hire a stump grinder, prices from £28 per day depending on area, & hire shop.

Would consider doing it myself but.........

I've never used a stump grinder before
I don't own a chainsaw
I don't have any high ladders for pruning my large tree
I don't have a trailer to carry all the debris down to the local tip

Very reasonable, had a quote of £500 to remove a tree, he is currently still jogging on!
