"Quoted for truth" - how do you define it?

I usually try and add an opinion/point to something even if I just agree - makes for some dull reading on the forums when everyone just quotes and doesn't say anything.

Don't think I've ever done it, I don't really see the need to just quote someone if I can't add anything to it, it isn't as if my +1 would make the post carry more weight or be more useful.

It depends on the context, I'd rarely do it on an opinion based thing, unless they have summed up exactly how I feel, but I'd usually still expand on it. It can be more useful with a definite question, essentially it's like choosing a poll option.

I'd always say it's option a) though

Usually just a simple quote and a +1 but is there really any need for this thread, surely you could just look around and see what people are doing?

I hate it when a quote goes incremental..

E.g. +1 is quoted and someone will write +2
