im not sure how the q9450 is going to be, but i can say my overclocked q6600 beats all other cpu's at their stock speeds, including the QX9770 by about 15% (sandra multimedia bench) and the 9450 has a 8x multi, which might cause probs if your FSB cant get to and above 500!. but i dont think its worth it to spend more for 9x

anyway my main point would be the 9800 is not worth the price you will have to pay, and two 8800GTS 512 would be basically it, but cheaper and not bugged (as much)

That would need a SLI mobo, he has a crossfire one right now, and tbh should upgrade to a P45 imho.
